For me, growing up going to the river, the trip there was full of excitement. Jumping in the van, dad had Skynyrd jamming on the tape deck as he chatted on the CB radio while we crossed the desert in the dark of night with thunderstorms lighting up the sky in the distance. Camping on the Parker Strip sleeping on folding lounge chairs water side, waking up to the distant rumble of someone making an early morning pass. This is my homage to the river trip. Getting to your destination is part of the adventure.
